Chongqing launches digital printing industrial park

The Chongqing Digital Printing Industrial Park was launched in the Yufu Economic Development Center of Liangjiang New Area in Chongqing on Dec 28.

The industrial park is the only digital printing industrial park that integrates green technology, ecological protection and smartness. It is expected to become a cluster of science and technology companies within three to five years and achieve annual revenue of over 500 million yuan ($77 million).

Xiang Zeying, CEO of the Chongqing Daily, said that the industrial park is a step forward for the paper. Thanks to the “Internet +” and big data technology, the Daily has leaped forward in media integration and become a platform for cultural creativity industries.

Wu Min, vice CEO of the Chongqing Daily, noted that the Chongqing Digital Printing Industrial Park had an area of 100 acres, with a planned construction area of 89,000 square meters. It has a total investment of 490 million yuan. It is intended to become fully modernized.

The industrial park will focus on digital printing and integrate printing, cultural creativity and e-commerce logistics. In the coming three to five years, the industrial park as a leading center will offer digital cartoons, mobile multimedia, printing e-commerce services and cultural creativity.
