By Sun Hui,

Tourism was booming in Chongqing's Liangjiang New Area (LNA) during the National Day holiday week to the benefit of the local economy and tourism industry, local media reported on Oct 9.

As China's "Golden Weeks", the National Day holiday saw a surge in tourist revenue along with passenger flow. This year the holiday was extended by one day with the Mid-Autumn Festival falling on Oct 4.

Three local scenic spots–Liangjiang International Movie City, Chongqing Garden Expo Park, and Jihua Garden Extreme Sports Center–proved to be the most attractive destinations for visiting tourists.
