Industrial tourism booms in Chongqing

Liangjiang New Area in Southwest China's Chongqing municipality has found success in the industrial tourism market and strives to provide tourism products that will allow visitors to experience Liangjiang's advantages in automobiles, electronic information, and smart manufacturing.

Thanks to the rapid development of industrial tourism, companies in Liangjiang have seen new profit growth points. For example, Beijing Hyundai's Chongqing factory in Yufu Industrial Development Zone has received 10,300 visitors since 2017, including 2,080 visitors during the first half of 2019.

Tourists can pay a visit to the workshops to appreciate the automobile manufacturing ability and smartmanufacturing capabilities of automobile enterprises in Liangjiang.

The COFCO Coca-Cola Beverages Co museum in Liangjiang was put into operation in 2005, covering an area of 66 mu (666.67 square meters) with five advanced production lines.

The museum is equipped with various exhibition areas to show the design of Coca-Cola bottles in different countries and regions, the production of the beverage, as well as the Coca-Cola collection related to sports events.

The museum's unique interactive experience has attracted numerous tourists. By the end of June this year, the museum has received 3,719 visitors, and the number is expected to exceed 10,000 by the end of the year.

The robot exhibition center in Shuitu Industrial Development Zone collects the most advanced industrial and service robots produced by famous brands such as Asea Brown Boveri (ABB), Kawasaki, and FANUC.

By the end of June this year, the center has received 38,701 visitors, becoming a key window to the public showcasing the forefront of robot science and technology in Liangjiang.

Liangjiang will keep integrating industrial resources with tourism, as well as the popularization of science and education to boost tourism development in Chongqing.
