Liangjiang opens imported commodity distribution centers

Chongqing Lianglu Cuntan Free Trade Port Area in Liangjiang New Area, Southwest China's Chongqing municipality, has created six authorized distribution centers for imported commodities in the Chongqing-Sichuan area.

The first authorized distribution center opened in Chongqing's Wulong district in August 2019, covering an area of 500 square meters. So far, the center has achieved about 1 million yuan ($153,368.75) of sales.

The free trade port area's first authorized distribution center in Sichuan province opened in November 2020 in Dazhou city, selling imported alcoholic beverages, daily chemical products, mother and baby products and imported latex pillows.

So far, the total business income of the six authorized distribution centers is about 3 million yuan.

In 2020, Chongqing Lianglu Cuntan Free Trade Port Area's import and export value was 151.38 billion yuan, increasing 22 percent year-on-year; the actually utilized foreign capital was $1.24 billion, rising 96.6 percent year-on-year; and the import and export value ranked first among China's four free trade port areas.

The free trade port area has upgraded the Chongqing International Exhibition & Trade Center to further its opening-up, making it a key platform for international commodities entering China's market and showcasing global culture.

The free trade port area is also expanding its services, allowing more people to purchase high-quality imported commodities on their doorstep.
