Four robot enterprises, including Botech, will sign investment deals with Chongqing's Liangjiang New Area on June 19.

According to an official of the district, the robot enterprises will move in the local robot industry park. Projects will involve robot manufacturing and application in the fields of computer, communication and consumer electronic (3C), home appliance, autos and pathway. These projects are expected to help the district develop robot industry cluster and other strategic emerging industries.

The Suzhou-based Botech is China's biggest robot system integrator in China. Its output value broke three billion yuan ($483 million) in 2014. The company planned to invest 10 million yuan on robot automation integration project at the Shuitu High-Tech Park in the district.

The project will offer robot system integration, automated stand-alone and full automatic production line services for 3C, home appliance, autos, food, drugs and daily consumable sectors. It's going to lease 2,000-square-meter plant and develop an annual capacity of integrating 200 robot systems. The project is expected to realize 100 million yuan in annual sales.

Experts say that China has posed increasing needs for robot as effective labor force is on the wane and labor costs are on the rise. Intelligent process structure adjustment, especially in the robot field, has become a new "industrial revolution".

While Chongqing proposed to accelerate robot industry development and build itself into a robot city. The Liangjiang district has given attention to robot industry as an important strategic emerging cause since 2012 and formulated plans for the industry's development, goal and business innovation model.

And the Shuitu park has earmarked two square kilometers of area for robot system integration, body and parts manufacturing, as well as standard tests and evaluation, personnel training, finance leasing, achievement incubation and transfer, and interactive experience.

The National Robot Test and Evaluation Center (Chongqing), the Kawasaki Robot, the Chongqing Liangjiang Robot Application and Training Center and the Chongqing Liangjiang Tobot Incubation Center will lay the foundation stone in the Shuitu park on the signing day.
