Users can register on the website and fill in the age, gender and other basic information of their pets, and then a pet profile is set up.
The website will also send alerts to remind pet keepers of the time to bath the pets when they log onto the web.
To offer tailor-made information, the website hired pet experts to give professional suggestions to users based on the type of their pets.
"We are considering extending our services to cover baths, hairdressing, medical care and training," said Yu Zhen, co-founder of Epet.
Epet.com was created at Chongqing University eight years ago. It has expanded from the original three people to the current 400.
Epet.com is establishing warehouses in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Wuhan and Chengdu to better serve customers around the country. It also anticipates a global presence and to be listed by 2019.
Yu also attributed his success partly to the favorable policies at Liangjiang New Area such as low rents.
The company’s sales were more than three million yuan ($470,000) in 2010 and exceeded 60 million yuan by 2013. It has had more than a 200 percent increase for four years in a row.
