Chongqing female entrepreneur focuses on corporate credit management

Chongqing Yucun Corporate Credit Management Company was established by female entrepreneur Chen Yu. It focuses on the credit evaluation of businesses via big data.

“I went to Indiana University with a full scholarship after graduating from China Science and Technology University. I came back to China and established my own company after working at investment banks on Wall Street,” said Chen.

Chen got her PhD at Indiana University and became a deputy CEO at Pacific private equity. She has managed over 9,000 high technology patents and investment of over 150 million yuan ($23 million).

Lin Debing, chief scientist of the company, was a senior risk management scientist at Paypal. The company’s chief technology officer used to be the senior engineer at ebay and Visa.

The company also attracted many scientists from Spain, Canada, and Singapore, and formed a leading big data research and development team in western China.

With the development of internet finance, the need for credit evaluation companies is also increasing. Chen chose to develop credit system projects.

“Credit should be an asset that individuals and company cherish and the credit of individuals should be linked to the credit of companies; only in this way can we cultivate an atmosphere in which society as a whole values credit,” said Chen.

As a one stop big data risk-management company, Chongqing Yucun Corporate Credit Company offer background checks and credit evaluation for companies.

Liao Xiaozhou, a brand manager of Chongqing Yucun Corporate said that Yucun established a model to make a systematic evaluation of companies’ and individuals’ credit.

“Liangjiang gave us lots of favorable polices while offering us many highly efficient services,” said Chen Wei. She said that the data comes from authorities’ data bases such as the Ministry of Education, the courts, and telecom operators including China Mobile and China Unicom.

Taking advantage of the favorable innovation environment, the company is trying to create a new financial credit system with other agencies to solve problems companies encounter in financing and attracting investment.

Liangjiang New Area Overseas Students Innovation Park is cosponsored by the National Human Resources and Social Security Department and the Chongqing Municipal government. It offers a favorable environment for entrepreneurs to develop their businesses.
