Liangjiang New Area – which is located in Southwest China's Chongqing municipality – established an industrial internet alliance on March 25, which is expected to become a powerful driver for positive change and innovation.
Integrating the resources in the industrial internet area, the alliance will reportedly facilitate high-quality development and high living standards in the new area.
Duan Chenggang, secretary of the Chongqing Liangjiang New Area Party Work Committee, attended the meeting and presided over the establishment of the alliance.
Luo Lin, director of the Chongqing Liangjiang New Area Administrative Committee, said Liangjiang – which already boasts a solid industrial foundation and policy advantages – now has its own force to drive the industrial internet forwards, in response to the central government's call to innovate the industrial internet.
The expectation is that resident companies in this field will share information with each other and work together to boost both the production and supply chain of the sector.
Members of the alliance are also seen giving full play to their own areas of expertise and experience, so as to lead the field in technological innovation, standards setting and the promotion of applications.
Liu Xiangyang, senior vice-president of Geely Auto, pledged that his group would make renewed efforts in internet-based research, smart manufacturing and the digitalization of management.
