The fourth Zhuoya sports festival was held with great fanfare on April 12 at Wannianlu Primary School – situated in the Liangjiang New Area in Southwest China's Chongqing municipality – to celebrate the centenary this year of the founding of the Communist Party of China.
Students were dressed in the uniforms of the Red Army, characterized by the light blue shirts and hats, with a red star in the middle of the hat.
A march was then followed by street dances, folk dances and instrumental performances – all exploring new ways of recounting stories of the Party's history.

Many classical stories from the Party's history were transformed into games. For instance, in the "Taibai rapid march" game, students were divided into groups and participated in a relay race by folding clothes, lacing shoes and tidying up their desks smartly.
Reports were that the game proved both entertaining and educational.
As a bonus, parents were also invited to join their kids in a hilarious three-legged race – with one of their legs tied to one of their child's.
