The Xinghu School in the Liangjiang New Area – in Southwest China's Chongqing municipality – recently signed a cooperation agreement with the Hungarian-Chinese Bilingual School, which is located in Budapest, capital city of Hungary.
It did so at the China (Chengdu-Chongqing region)-Hungary innovation and cooperation conference, held in Chongqing on April 23.
The accord is expected to help promote education exchanges and cooperation between China and Hungary. Between the two partner schools, it will pave the way for optimizing their respective education systems and division of disciplines, train more staff, reform administration and education management and expand the opening-up of their education.
Under the agreement, both sides will use online platforms to carry out cultural and language exchanges, expand joint teaching and research, send teachers on exchange visits and innovate teaching methods.
The Hungarian-Chinese Bilingual School was established in September 2004 and is the only 12-year, full-time public Hungarian-Chinese bilingual school in Central and Eastern Europe. The school provides systematic Chinese learning courses from primary school to high school.
The Xinghu School, meanwhile, is a high-end public school that represents Liangjiang's efforts in creating an international education pilot area. The cooperation is expected to contribute to the new area's intelligent education and quality education development.
