A ceremony was held on Jan 4 in Guoyuan port, Liangjiang New Area, during which seven major projects focusing on commerce, logistics, healthcare, roads and city landscapes were launched and 11 projects concluded, involving a total investment of 4.7 billion yuan ($738.84 million).
Officials from the Chongqing Municipal People's Government, Liangjiang New Area, Jiangbei district, and representatives from the companies involved in the projects attended the event.
Liu Yunning, head of Chongqing Customs, said they will cooperate with other departments to deal with the cargo export business transfer work in Guoyuan port, redouble efforts to check fruit and grain, and support the port's role as a multimodal transport logistics hub.
The administrative committee signed project agreements with 10 key enterprises in Chongqing during the ceremony.
