Hustle-and-bustle returns to Liangjiang

Business districts, scenic spots, stations, and airports in Liangjiang New Area are becoming increasingly busy as the city gradually returns to normal.

Shoppers scour shops in search of new clothes, many leaving with sizable purchases.

Over the holiday, key business areas in Liangjiang New Area such as The Ring, Outlets, Ikea, Jinke Aegean place, and Lijia Paradise Street received over 284,000 visitors.

The major scenic spots also received a sizable boost, with major scenic spots such as Happy Valley, Chongqing Garden Expo, Liangjiang Movie City, Chongqing Jihua Park, and other spots receiving over 61,200 visitors.

At Chongqing North Railway Station, all security channels are equipped with facial recognition systems. Passengers can pass security in less than three seconds after scanning their ID cards. [Photo provided to english.liangjiang.gov.cn]

Over the holiday, Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport's passenger throughput reached 200,500, ranking among the top airports in China. Statistics show Yunnan, Hainan, and Fujian provinces have become the most popular destinations for Chongqing residents, in addition to first-tier cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen.
