New area revs up digitalization, intelligentization

The recently concluded Conference on Science and Technology Innovation and Talent Work in Chongqing, located in Southwest China, was a momentous event that unveiled an ambitious and comprehensive strategy to bolster the city's growth through science and technology innovation and talent cultivation. The conference brought together visionaries, experts, and stakeholders from various fields to collectively design a magnificent blueprint for Chongqing's future development.

Liangjiang New Area, ever proactive in its approach, has adeptly seized the opportunities arising from the new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation. In a landmark move that showcases its commitment to innovation, the Chongqing Digital Economy Innovation Park was inaugurated in March of this year within the new area's premises. This momentous occasion saw 50 dynamic companies eagerly signing contracts to establish their presence and make the innovation park their new home.

In addition, the Liangjiang Digital Economy Industrial Park has also attracted more than 400 firms, gathering over 30,000 innovative talents.

Liangjiang New Area's dedication to fostering a thriving digital economy has yielded remarkable results, as it has become the domicile of over 8,000 digital economy enterprises. This vibrant ecosystem has led to the digital economy's value-added contribution skyrocketing, accounting for an impressive one-third of Chongqing's total economic output. The region's proactive approach to embracing digital technology has sparked the emergence of novel forms and innovative business models, resulting from the dynamic interplay between digital advancements and various industries.

Tencent and Changan Auto recently signed a strategic cooperation agreement to deepen their collaboration in intelligent cockpits, autonomous driving, and digital transformation. The intelligent factory invested in by SERES in Liangjiang has more than 1,000 robots operating collaboratively, achieving 100-percent automation in key manufacturing processes.
