New intl railway breaks ground in Chongqing

The first phase of the Chongqing-Xinjiang-Europe International Railway (Guoyuan Port) multimodal transportation hub, located in the Guoyuan Port National Logistics Hub of the Liangjiang New Area in Chongqing, recently started construction.

The Guoyuan Port National Logistics Hub is located in the core area of the new area and is the largest inland river multimodal transportation hub in China. The China-Europe freight train (Chongqing-Xinjiang-Europe), the New Western Land-Sea Corridor, and the Yangtze River Golden Waterway converge there.

In the later stage, the project will also integrate the logistics industrial chain with financial access and create an international multimodal transportation comprehensive logistics platform incorporating e-commerce transactions, cold-chain warehousing services, integrated logistics distribution, financial services access, and import and export bonded processing.
