Currently, the M House demonstration area in Chongqing's Liangjiang New Area is hosting a historical exhibition. The exhibition, themed on "Growth", narrates the transformation of the Jiangbei Fertilizer Plant into the M House demonstration area.

The M House demonstration area is located at the core site of the former Jiangbei Fertilizer Plant and has now been transformed into a cultural and creative complex that integrates five core elements: art education, artistic creation, art exhibitions, art appreciation, and art experience.

The demonstration area was transformed from the M machine room of the former Jiangbei Fertilizer Plant. The plant was originally a coking plant built with the assistance from the former Soviet Union before 1958. In 1969, the Jiangbei Nitrogen Fertilizer Plant, also known as the Jiangbei Fertilizer Plant, was officially established.

In July 2017, after researching its profound historical and cultural heritage, Yuelai Investment Group carried out the protective development of the original Jiangbei Fertilizer Plant.

Today, the revitalized M House has become the arena for numerous cultural and artistic exchange activities. It has hosted a series of internationally and regionally influential art events, including the Narrative Asia: Youth Artists Night, Read City, and the M House Youth Art Activity Season.

In the future, M House will be developed into a cultural and artistic hub, accommodating cultural and artistic blocks, cultural exhibition halls, museums, art galleries, and special guesthouses. It will also be built into an artistic vacation destination, an industrial heritage conservation area, and an industrial architecture expo area.
