On April 24, the CCIC Southwest Inspection Technology (Chongqing) Base was officially unveiled in the Nanshan Industrial Park of Liangjiang New Area, marking a milestone in the collaboration between the new area and CCIC Southwest Metrology Co.

Liangjiang is establishing a national inspection and testing certification public service demonstration area. Currently, the new area has a total of 89 accredited inspection and testing certification institutions. In 2023, the new area's revenue from the inspection and testing certification industry reached approximately 4.69 billion yuan ($661.29 million), with a year-on-year growth of 24.87 percent, with its industrial scale ranking the top in Chongqing.

China Certification and Inspection Group Co (CCIC), established in 1980, is the only State-owned enterprise directly administrated by the central government that focuses on inspection, testing, certification, standards, and metrology. Its services cover a wide range, including agriculture, industry, and service sectors.

To facilitate the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle, the new base features an experimental site covering an area of approximately 2,500 square meters and equipment worth about 25 million yuan. The laboratory's testing capabilities encompass over 300 parameters in areas such as water, air, and sound.
