Workers' long-distance race opens at Mingyue Lake

On April 27, the 10th Liangjiang New Area Workers' Long-Distance Race took place at Mingyue Lake in the Liangjiang Collaborative Innovation Zone, Liangjiang New Area, Southwest China's Chongqing municipality.

Over 2,000 workers from the committee, local institutions, sub-streets, State-owned enterprises, industrial parks, and resident companies participated in the event, which was organized by the administrative committee of the new area.

Yu Jiping, vice chairman of the Chongqing Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, and Xu Hongqiu, deputy secretary of the Party work committee of the new area, attended the event.

Participants ran along a colorful nine-kilometer lakeside trail, with the shimmering lake on one side and lush green forests on the other, allowing runners to enjoy picturesque scenery.

The event coincided with the upcoming May Day holiday, and the workers celebrated their own festival through the run. The race also featured a special model worker running team, inviting representatives from the new area who have received national and municipal-level model worker honors to lead the way.

Among them was Tang Yuehui, chief skill master at Deepal Automobile Tech, who was honored as a national technical expert and one of Chongqing's most outstanding industrial workers in 2023.
