On April 29, the 2024 Chongqing Industry-Academia-Research Cooperation and Innovation Conference was held in Liangjiang New Area in Southwest China's Chongqing municipality.
Shang Kui, vice mayor of the municipality, Luo Lin, secretary of the Party Work Committee of the new area, and Lei Chaozi, executive vice president of the China Industry-University-Research Institute Collaboration Association, attended the opening ceremony.
The Chongqing Municipal Education Commission signed agreements with nine local pilot districts and counties, including Liangjiang New Area. Universities signed cooperation agreements with districts, counties, industrial parks, and cooperating enterprises.
According to the cooperation agreements, Liangjiang will continue working with Chongqing University, accelerate the construction of the Mingyue Lake Laboratory, and focus on building a talent training system that integrates industry and education through the combination of engineers, practice bases, and collaborative innovation centers.
On the same day, the 2.0 version of the Chongqing online sci-tech achievement transfer system was launched. Liangjiang and other districts and counties released related sci-tech innovation and industrial policies, while universities and enterprises presented their achievements and needs through roadshows, and also collectively released lists of supply and demand for industry-academia-research collaborations.
