The first supercharger station in Liangjiang New Area, Southwest China's Chongqing municipality – the Mingyue Lake Integrated Demonstration Supercharger Station – was officially put into operation on June 6, further improving the industrial ecosystem of intelligent connected new energy vehicles in Liangjiang New Area.

The supercharger station covers an area of approximately 3,880 square meters, with a total of 95 parking spaces, and is equipped with six 600KW liquid cooling supercharging piles, 10 250KW DC dual-gun fast charging piles, V2G (vehicle to grid) charging and discharging piles, and liquid cooling energy storage products.

Wu Lishan, general manager of the Chongqing branch of China Construction Science and Industry Corporation, explained that the supercharger station has the highest power generation capacity in Chongqing. The equipped 600KW liquid cooling supercharging piles can achieve a range of 300 kilometers after charging for just five minutes.

In addition, V2G charging and discharging piles are also available on site, not only providing charging services but also transferring the energy from the vehicle batteries to the grid, thus achieving vehicle-grid interaction and increasing energy utilization efficiency.

In April, the Chongqing municipal government proposed that by 2025, all new public fast charging stations in the central urban area should have supercharging capacity, and the existing charging stations should gradually be transformed into superchargers. By the end of 2025, Chongqing plans to build over 2,000 supercharger stations with more than 4,000 supercharging piles.

According to the plan mentioned above, Liangjiang New Area will have built 303 supercharger stations in total by 2025, which would make it the area with the densest concentration of supercharger stations in Chongqing.
