Guoyuan Port, a national logistics hub in Liangjiang New Area, witnessed a significant increase in traffic in the first half of this year, with several major logistics platforms experiencing robust growth.

The Yuzui Railway Freight Station, directly connected to Guoyuan Port via a dedicated railway line, serves as a crucial junction for three major international logistics corridors: the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, the China-Europe Railway Express, and the Yangtze River Golden Waterway.

At this bustling hub, vehicles manufactured in Liangjiang are routinely loaded into containers and dispatched across the country. Data indicates that the station handled 186,000 vehicles from January to June, with its railway network now reaching over 50 stations in 25 cities nationwide.

The station's management is committed to enhancing its connection with main railway lines, increasing cargo organization efforts, and boosting both rail freight volume and overall transportation efficiency.

The China-Singapore (Chongqing) DC Multimodal Logistics Co is equally busy. As of the end of June, the warehouse utilization rate at its base reached 100 percent, while the container yard utilization rate was at 64 percent.

The total operational volume exceeded 7,300 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs), marking a 37 percent year-on-year increase. The total value of goods circulated surpassed 4.1 billion yuan ($573.72 million), a 150 percent increase compared to the same period last year.

Leveraging the advanced transportation infrastructure and seamless "water-rail-road" logistics network of Guoyuan Port, the company has expanded its bulk trade procurement business, enhancing the quality of bulk commodity trade development.

Over the same period, the company signed procurement contracts for over 7,200 metric tons of products such as titanium dioxide, ferrochrome, and electrolytic manganese, with a total contract value exceeding 92 million yuan.

Additionally, the company has established partnerships with international suppliers to procure high-quality frozen beef, chicken, and other products from countries like Australia, New Zealand, and Belarus.

These products are transported to Chongqing via Guoyuan Port's extensive network and inspected at the port's designated meat import inspection site, meeting the local market's demand for imported meat products.
