Liangjiang enhances high-quality technological resources

Liangjiang New Area is actively increasing its supply of high-quality technological resources, driving its high-quality economic development.

In the Liangjiang Collaborative Innovation Zone, over 50 cutting-edge research and development institutions, including the Chongqing Institute of Green and Intelligent Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the National University of Singapore (Chongqing) Research Institute, are continuously pooling global innovation resources into the area.

The area has already produced more than 660 achievements. The Chongqing Institute of New Energy Storage Materials and Equipment, for example, has developed a magnesium alloy-based battery box cover for new energy vehicles, which has garnered significant attention.

According to Wang Jingfeng, the institute's director, this cover is the largest magnesium alloy automotive die casting in the world, offering mechanical performance comparable to commonly used aluminum alloy castings while reducing weight by 32 percent.

Additionally, more than 300 industrial enterprises, including Theseus Technology Co, have established a presence in the area, becoming crucial drivers of Liangjiang's high-quality industrial development.

The area has introduced and nurtured 44 innovation incubation carriers at the municipal-level and above and has gathered over 500 R&D platforms at the municipal-level and above.

A local official noted that by increasing the supply of high-quality technological resources, Liangjiang is continuously promoting the efficient integration and connection of innovation chains, industrial chains, talent chains, and financial chains.
