Liangjiang research institute, Serbian science park seek cooperation

The Chongqing Research Institute of Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) in Liangjiang New Area recently signed an agreement with Serbia's Niš Science Park.

According to authorities, the agreement aims to establish cooperation in technology parks and industrialization, promoting tech incubation, joint park development, and resource-sharing mechanisms for talent and projects.

A key focus will be enhancing technology R&D collaboration and the commercialization of research outcomes, fostering a synergistic development mechanism. 

Niš Science Park specializes in researching artificial intelligence, electronic information, autonomous driving, and bioengineering. It has incubated nearly 200 innovative startups.

The Chongqing Research Institute of HIT boasts strong R&D capabilities, a world-class innovation team, and extensive experience in talent cultivation and project incubation. 

"This collaboration is of great significance to our science park and will bring more talent, research, and marketable innovative projects to Niš and the wider Serbian region", noted a representative from Niš Science Park.

The institute has established multiple platforms in Liangjiang, including an innovation research institute, a talent training base, an industrial incubation base, a results transfer and transformation center, and an international cooperation center. 

It has also deployed an industrial core and incubation area to gather innovative resources, lead technological innovation, and support the optimization and upgrading of Liangjiang's industrial structure. This will help foster the development of emerging industries.

The institute has undertaken 82 major national and Chongqing strategic tasks and key technology projects built two Chongqing municipal-level technology innovation centers and implemented 58 industry-university-research cooperation projects.
