The Chongqing Automotive and Manufacturing Data Management High-end Forum and the Denodo 25th Anniversary Global Celebration China Venue took place in Liangjiang New Area on Sept 12.
Over 50 data experts from vehicle manufacturers and manufacturing enterprises attended the event.
Angel Viña, founder and CEO of Denodo Technologies, delivered a keynote speech during the event, highlighting the value and potential of data virtualization in the automotive and manufacturing industries.
Viña discussed various cases of logical data fabric use in the automotive sector, including manufacturing efficiency, supply chain optimization, vehicle performance monitoring, customer engagement, and after-market data management. These applications aim to maximize data value and facilitate digital transformation for enterprises.
Founded in 1999, Denodo is a global leader in data management, with 25 offices in 30 countries and around 1,000 clients from over 70 countries. Its clients include industry giants such as Intel, Siemens, Toyota, Shell, Walmart, Johnson & Johnson, and Sanofi, spanning high-tech, automotive, manufacturing, finance, energy, pharmaceutical, and retail sectors.
Viña noted Denodo's strategic business development in China, citing that over 150 of their global clients have branches in the country, many of which are expanding internationally from China. Since entering the Chinese market in 2019, Denodo has collaborated with leading companies like Alibaba Cloud and BAIC.
Wei He, vice-president of Global Sales and Regional VP of Denodo Software Greater China, emphasized the significance of Liangjiang as a hub for new energy vehicle production. He expressed optimism about promoting data virtualization technology in Chongqing and supporting automotive companies with overseas data management.
Liangjiang boasts the highest concentration of new energy vehicle brands in China. Major companies such as Changan Automobile, Seres, and Changan Ford, alongside over 200 core supporting enterprises, form a comprehensive automotive manufacturing ecosystem.
"We aim to be close to our clients, serve them well, and collaborate to explore broader markets," said Wei He. He added that the increasing intelligence of new energy vehicles will generate more data, potentially leading to new business models and applications. Denodo hopes to promote these innovations from Chongqing to the global market.
