Liangjiang hosts forum on intellectual property rights

Liangjiang New Area, Chongqing, hosted a forum on enhancing the protection of intellectual property rights (IPR) on Sept 24.

The event gathered over 400 industry elites, scholars, and experts to discuss the crucial role of intellectual property in the development of new quality productive forces.

During the forum, the Liangjiang New Area Administrative Committee, Chongqing Municipal Intellectual Property Office, and Southwest University of Political Science and Law signed a strategic cooperation agreement.

The agreement aims to further promote the in-depth integration of science, education, industry, and education, exploring new cooperative models that align higher education with local development.

Additionally, Liangjiang authorities and BOE Technology Group Co, an IoT company providing intelligent interface products and professional services for information interaction and human health, signed a memorandum of understanding on intellectual property cooperation.

In recent years, Liangjiang has been enhancing the creation, protection, utilization, management, and service levels of intellectual property, and it is currently home to 211 national and municipal IPR demonstration enterprises.

The area boasts 31 high-value invention patents per 10,000 people and has attracted over 200 professional service institutions.
