Liangjiang New Area's automotive brand, Deepal, has introduced its 2025 Deepal S07 electric SUV to the Australian market. Pricing will be announced in early November.

The S07 features a 160 kW/320 Nm single electric motor paired with a 79.97 kWh ternary lithium battery, offering a driving range of 475 kilometers. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in late November, initially from dealerships in Sydney and Melbourne, with plans for nationwide availability to follow.

Deepal has collaborated with Inchcape, the local importer for Subaru and Peugeot, to facilitate its entry into the Australian market. Colin Christie, director of Inchcape Australasia, expressed enthusiasm about the launch, highlighting the brand's blend of style, performance, and innovative technology.

"Deepal is about more than cars; it's about electric vehicles that elevate your driving experience by harmoniously blending nature, technology, and human experiences while connecting with communities," Christie said in an interview with news.com.au.

Founded in 2022 as an all-electric sub-brand of Chinese automotive giant Changan Auto, Deepal has quickly expanded its global presence. Earlier this year, its first batch of right-hand drive models was delivered to Thailand.

Deepal is now present in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America. CEO Deng Chenghao stated that his company aims to accelerate globalization and establish itself as a world-class electric vehicle brand.

Liangjiang has become a hub for China's leading new energy vehicle (NEV) manufacturers, including Deepal and SERES. In 2023, the area produced over 360,000 NEVs, a 66 percent increase from the previous year, with the automotive industry's output value reaching 184.7 billion yuan ($25.94 billion).
