A supply chain project led by SERES Group will be established in Longsheng New City, Liangjiang New Area.

The initiative brings together a diverse group of suppliers specializing in auto bodies, interior and exterior parts, lighting, and control systems. With a planned investment of 4 billion yuan ($560.82 million), the project aims to achieve an annual output of 10 billion yuan.

SERES, a leading manufacturer of intelligent connected new energy vehicles, launched its Super Factory in Longsheng in 2022. To date, the factory has received a total of 9 billion yuan in investment, generated 40.1 billion yuan in output, and delivered 103,000 vehicles. The M9 model, produced at this facility, dominates the market for cars priced over 500,000 yuan, with over 15,000 deposits since its launch.

The new project will see SERES and Liangjiang collaborate to advance intelligent driving and related sectors.

Longsheng is currently home to leading car manufacturers like Changan and SERES, along with over 100 core parts suppliers. Its intelligent connected vehicle industry currently boasts an output of 100 billion yuan.

Spanning 336 square kilometers, Longsheng is positioned as Liangjiang's key platform for industrial development, focusing on the automotive, equipment, and aerospace sectors.

During a recent promotional event, Longsheng unveiled numerous development opportunities across three industrial clusters and three emerging investment areas.

In terms of industrial clusters, the advanced manufacturing industrial cluster will feature intelligent manufacturing factories, including standard factories, demonstration and R&D, and supporting facilities.

The modern services industrial cluster will develop auto software and information services, commercial services, digital content services, cloud services, operational services, artificial intelligence, electronic business, and other modern service sectors.

The big health industrial cluster will focus on the specialized medical treatment chain, the practical application of advancements in medical science, the wellness service industrial chain, and supporting facilities. The cluster aims to become a national demonstration cluster for big health in the next three to five years.

By 2027, Longsheng expects the average industrial output per mu (approximately 0.07 hectares) for companies above designated size to reach 17 million yuan.
