Liangjiang New Area has demonstrated a robust industrial growth trajectory in the first three quarters of the year, with the added value of large-scale industries reaching 72.53 billion yuan ($10.15 billion), a 16.4-percent increase from the previous year.

The automotive industry emerged as a key highlight, driving much of this growth. Data shows that from January to September, its added value surged by 34.9 percent.

This impressive growth is attributed mainly to the leading automotive enterprises in the area, which have stabilized the market. A prime example is Seres, which saw a remarkable revenue of 106.63 billion yuan for the first three quarters, a 539.24-percent year-on-year increase.

The new generation of electronic information manufacturing in the area recorded a 3.5-percent increase in added value during the same period.

The area has established three major industrial clusters: new display technologies, integrated circuits, and smart terminals. These clusters include over 4,000 related companies and 61 enterprises above a designated size, including industry leaders like BOE, Corning, and Altus.

Authorities also released an action plan in the third quarter to expand the scale of the new display industry, accelerate the construction of a fully integrated circuit industry chain, and enhance the manufacturing of computers, servers, and smart wearable and home devices.

In the equipment manufacturing sector, joint ventures like Cummins and Hitachi Energy have continued to expand, while Sany Heavy Industry is contributing to a generally positive development trend.

In the health industry, new projects such as the Shanwaishan Blood Purification Industrial Park have commenced construction, and the Danaher West Innovation Center has begun operations. These projects are promising new growth drivers for the industry.

A local official noted that the next steps will focus on enhancing enterprise production and operations services, ensuring resource allocation, and promoting continuous enterprise expansion.
