Agile Robotics to establish headquarters in Liangjiang

Agile Robotics signed an agreement on Nov 12 to establish its Southwest Headquarters in Liangjiang New Area.

The Southwest Headquarters project will carry a price tag of 100 million yuan ($13.81 million), with Agile Robotics Chongqing Co spearheading initiatives in robotic system integration, collaborative robot application R&D, and the development of second-class medical device-related robotics.

Liangjiang boasts a comprehensive manufacturing ecosystem, a well-established robotics industrial cluster, an effective industrial upgrade platform, and a high-quality support service system, said Zhang Pan, general manager of Agile Robotics Chongqing Co, explaining the choice of location.

Agile Robotics, a global leader in intelligent robot research and production, operates dual headquarters in Munich and Beijing. Its core research team hails from the DLR Institute of Robotics and Mechatronics.

Agile Robotics' flagship products include intelligent flexible robotic operation platforms, seven-degree-of-freedom intelligent force control robots, general intelligent force control medical robots, and humanoid five-finger dexterous hands.

Having secured multiple rounds of financing, Agile Robotics is currently the world’s highest-valued unicorn in the intelligent robotics sector.

Agile Robotics Chongqing Co has already forged partnerships with prominent enterprises such as Inventec, Midea, and Cummins.
