On Nov 25, Lonssa Air's SR20 aircraft took off from Longxing Airport in Liangjiang New Area, marking the beginning of a 10-day journey that will span nearly 10,000 kilometers and cross 12 cities.
The aircraft will pass through Luoyang Beijiao, Jinan Shanghe, Wuhan Hannan, Hengyang Dapu, Zhuhai Lianzhou, Danzhou Xiqing, Qiandongnan Liping, Chengdu Huaizhou, Xi'an Lantian, Shenmu Xisha, and Danfeng Shangshan.
"Low-altitude flight holds immense potential for the future. It shortens travel time, opens up new tourism routes, and stimulates regional economic development," said Xu Xiaolong, chairman of Lonssa Air. He emphasized that this journey aims to build relationships with local governments to enhance regional transportation networks and address challenges posed by complex weather conditions, diverse airspace management regulations, and emergency response measures.
Xu added that this initiative is expected to lay a foundation for developing the low-altitude economy and provide valuable insights for other aviation companies.
The aircraft reached Shanghe Airport at noon on Nov 25, marking the inaugural flight of a custom low-altitude route from Chongqing Longxing to Jinan Shanghe. This milestone will catalyze comprehensive collaboration between the two regions, using their core strengths to establish training bases, aviation education programs, and practical training centers.
The regions also aim to create an intelligent low-altitude information service platform and a command and dispatch center, fostering a partnership between their airports.
Xu also revealed that his company is developing unmanned tilt-ducted fan aircraft. This innovative solution addresses growing traffic congestion and pollution issues, offering a three-dimensional air transportation alternative for passenger travel, tourism, logistics, and emergency medical services.
