Chongqing Industrial Intelligence Technology Research Institute inaugurated in Liangjiang

The Chongqing Industrial Intelligence Technology Research Institute (CIITRI) was officially inaugurated in Liangjiang New Area on Dec 3.

Wang Lidong, deputy director of the Chongqing Municipal Economic and Information Technology Commission, emphasized that the establishment of CIITRI will inject strong momentum into the development of Chongqing's intelligent manufacturing sector.

Li Jie, deputy director of the Liangjiang New Area administrative committee, said that Liangjiang will provide comprehensive support and services, enhance collaboration with CIITRI, tap into valuable resources, plan impactful projects, and seek to achieve significant outcomes, fostering shared opportunities and mutual development.

Ouyang Jinsong, director of the Instrumentation Technology and Economy Institute, noted that ITEI, established in 1980, excels in research of measurement control and automation. It has also strategically positioned itself in emerging fields such as 5G, industrial internet, intelligent manufacturing, and medical equipment.

ITEI will expedite the introduction of various innovative resources to Liangjiang, supporting the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry in both the area and Chongqing at large, according to Ouyang.

CIITRI, founded by ITEI and Liangjiang, is the only research institute established by ITEI at the local level. Since its trial operation began, CIITRI has formed four teams specializing in digital twins, industrial intelligence, software development, and industry organization operations, respectively. It has secured five national-level research projects and provided technical services to over 10 enterprises.
