Liangjiang high-tech industry receives boost

The Chongqing Liangjiang Mingyue Lake Institute of High-tech Industry was unveiled on Dec 7 in Liangjiang New Area. 

According to authorities, the institute will establish a "1+2+N+X" system for technology transfer and industry generation. It aims to transform high-quality research outcomes locally, lead international advanced technology transfers, and nurture specialized and innovative enterprises. 

A representative from the institute explained the "1+2+N+X" system: "1" refers to the establishment of a comprehensive service platform, and "2" represents the creation of two innovation cooperation centers.

"N" involves developing multiple specialized sub-institutes covering various industry segments, such as advanced materials, embodied robotics, and intelligent connected new energy vehicles. 

"X" stands for incubating and nurturing numerous high-tech enterprises, addressing the bottleneck between scientific breakthroughs and practical productivity.

Li Jie, deputy director of the Liangjiang New Area administrative committee, said the institute will provide comprehensive services throughout the cycle, from technology transfer to project incubation and industrialization.
