China's first inland large-scale photomask facility commences operation in Liangjiang

Chongqing Mastek Electronics Co celebrated the commencement of operations of the first large-scale photomask production facility in China's inland region with a shipping ceremony in Liangjiang New Area on Dec 10.

Xu Hongqiu, deputy director of the Liangjiang New Area administrative committee, noted that the area is currently home to several key next-generation electronic information enterprises, such as BOE, AT&S, and UNISOC.

Xu added that the launch of the Mastek photomask facility is a significant milestone in the development of Chongqing's next-generation electronic information industry. Authorities will continue to provide robust support and optimal services to companies.

Mastek Electronics is a joint venture established by HOYA Corporation and BOE Group. It plans to achieve full production capacity by 2027.
