Liangjiang unveils cultural tourism investment opportunities

Liangjiang New Area has announced a list of cultural tourism investment opportunities, featuring 44 projects with a combined investment value of 61.1 billion yuan ($8.39 billion). 

These opportunities span 10 categories, including scenic resorts, cultural tourism leisure attractions, digital culture, sports tourism, tourism transportation facilities, hotels, and homestays. 

Among the highlighted projects is Mingyue Lake Sports Park, which is scheduled for development this year. This park will serve as a base for hockey, volleyball, skateboarding, archery, and canoeing and will host competitions, high-level sports talent training, and educational programs. 

A 1,716-mu (114 hectares) cultural, sports, and tourism project is planned in the Guanyin Mountain area, north of Shuitu New Town. The stunning ridgelines and natural water catchment pools are ideal for developing mountain outdoor adventure projects. 

The Cuntan area also features seven projects with total investments exceeding 7.4 billion yuan. The Cuntan Port project aims to upgrade the existing cargo port into a facility with six berths for Three Gorges cruise ships, each with a maximum capacity of 570 passengers, and four berths for Liangjiang cruise ships, each accommodating up to 500 passengers.
