Onebay Coffee, a Chongqing local brand from Liangjiang New Area, made a notable impression at the 2025 Singapore-Chongqing Week with its unique special blends.
This event was part of celebrations marking the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Singapore and China, as well as the 10th anniversary of the China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity.
Held from June 11 to 13 at Ngee Ann City on Orchard Road, the event served as a vital cultural exchange under the China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative and was a key highlight of the connectivity campaign. It attracted both domestic and international exhibitors, as well as local citizens and tourists.
"Yummy yummy!" exclaimed a Singaporean attendee, who noted that despite Singapore's diverse coffee scene, it was his first experience with a pepper-flavored latte. "The taste is very unique and distinctly Chongqing!"
Founded in 2023, Onebay Coffee has blended local agricultural specialties such as pepper, tea, and oranges to develop over 10 unique blends that fuse coffee culture with Chongqing's regional flavors.
Du Pan, founder of Onebay Coffee, said, "By incorporating authentic Chongqing ingredients into our coffee, we create flavors that are both familiar and refreshingly novel."
A standout from their lineup is a tea-coffee blend featuring a cold brew tea base, topped with a caramel-scented creamy milk cap, and finished with the slightly astringent yet sweet aftertaste of spring tea.
"We have reached an agreement with Chongqing exhibitors to explore new blends inspired by local lemons," Du added. The company plans to explore various regions in Chongqing to discover unique local agricultural products, with the goal of bringing the taste of Chongqing to households worldwide.
