Changan Automobile elevates design excellence

Changan Automobile marked a significant milestone with the groundbreaking ceremony for its Global Science and Art Center in Liangjiang New Area on July 9.

This visionary center, backed by a substantial investment of 1.4 billion yuan ($195.24 million), is structured around two core pillars: the Cutting-edge Technology Research Center and the Styling Design Center.

The Cutting-edge Technology Research Center will spearhead groundbreaking research into intelligent connectivity and artificial intelligence. It is poised to serve as a dynamic incubation hub for pioneering technologies like flying cars and humanoid robots, shaping the future of mobility.

Changan Automobile has outlined ambitious plans for the next decade, including a substantial investment exceeding 200 billion yuan in emerging sectors. The company aims to establish a formidable technology innovation team comprising over 10,000 experts, dedicated to crafting holistic solutions for terrestrial, maritime, and aerial transportation.

The center will also delve into cutting-edge technological explorations in areas such as artificial intelligence, information security, and system integrity, while fostering innovation in user experience, perception, and product quality.

The Styling Design Center, led by Klaus Zyciora, vice-president overseeing Changan Automobile's global design business, is set to achieve a seamless fusion of technological innovation and artistic expression.

Changan Automobile has established a collaborative research network spanning six countries and 10 locations. This framework ensures a continuous 24/7 collaborative design model, offering robust resource support and a broad international perspective that is expected to enhance Changan's design capabilities.
