Chongqing introduces innovative vehicle export initiative

Nearly 110 Chongqing-made vehicles have set sail for Mexico from Shanghai Haitong Terminal, marking the launch of a novel model for Chongqing's global vehicle expansion. This initiative also emphasizes intelligent supervision throughout the transport process.

Departing from Chongqing Guoyuan Port in late June, these vehicles were unloaded at Shanghai Haitong Terminal within 4 hours, achieving "zero vehicle damage" and efficient port clearance. This streamlined process reduced logistics time by nearly 10 days, enhancing overall transportation efficiency.

Under this new approach, vehicles are transported via roll-on/roll-off ships for direct shipment to their destination after customs clearance in Chongqing. This method offers benefits like convenient loading, increased carrying capacity, and significant cost savings of approximately 1,500 yuan ($208) per vehicle in storage and labor expenses.

To support this model, the "Chongqing Vehicles Going Global Roll-on/Roll-off Public Service Platform" integrates advanced technologies for intelligent supervision. It enables real-time monitoring, alerts for abnormal conditions, and enhanced control of logistics dynamics, addressing issues of fragmented supervision and opaque logistics information.

This platform links crucial systems and customs supervision modules, allowing officials to track the entire export process from loading to unloading, ensuring efficient operations and automatic alerts for anomalies.

This model signifies a significant milestone in integrating modern logistics with manufacturing industries, establishing an efficient multimodal transportation system for collection and distribution.
