Liangjiang New Area has witnessed the launch of a pioneering initiative aimed at developing and applying advanced technologies to assess and mitigate the intellectual property (IP) risks faced by Chinese enterprises expanding internationally.

This project, spearheaded by Chongqing Toyou Data Information Co in Liangjiang, a leader in the copyright sector, will focus on creating a multimodal IP database and rule library, as well as developing a cloud platform for IP commercialization services.

It aims to provide comprehensive IP protection services to 2,000 enterprises seeking to expand their global footprint.

Key technological advancements in the project will include cross-national IP federated learning, multidimensional risk assessment enhanced by large models and graph learning, scenario-driven intelligent evaluation technologies, and collaborative cloud platform resource allocation.

Zhang Jian, chairman of Toyou Data, emphasized the project's proactive approach in navigating the diverse regulatory landscapes of different countries, including the analysis of past judicial cases and IP dispute resolution methods.

"We will establish a comprehensive resource library that covers existing IP protection content from relevant countries, clearly defining infringement boundaries," Zhang said.

Ma Ranxi, a local official, highlighted the project's potential impact on the copyright sector. "We expect that this initiative will provide substantial support for the copyright industry, enhancing efficiency and accuracy in copyright transaction reviews and dispute mediation. It will also help establish mechanisms for selecting knowledge and cultural content, while promoting the standardization and regulation of cultural big data collection."
