Chongqing is celebrating a milestone in equestrian sports with the opening of the Liangjiang International Equestrian Events Center, the city's first venue that meets the standards of the International Federation for Equestrian Sports.
The center boasts a 2,100-square-meter indoor arena and two outdoor arenas measuring 3,500 and 1,600 square meters, including a warm-up area. Complementary facilities include stables, dedicated horse grazing areas, and training circles, all designed to enhance the equestrian experience.
STE Olympic-grade fiber sand mix has been used for the surfaces, ensuring superior cushioning and stability. The indoor arena features a steel frame with a pillar-free design, offering an optimal platform for riders.
Home to over 30 elite horses from prestigious breeds, such as Hanoverian and Oldenburg from Germany and Friesian from the Netherlands, the center is well-equipped to support top-tier equestrian events.
The venue's operator is preparing for its first national equestrian competition, expected to take place as early as November.
