Liangjiang establishes committee for copyright dispute mediation

Liangjiang New Area has launched its Copyright Dispute Mediation Professional Committee, a pioneering initiative designed to address the evolving landscape of copyright issues.

This committee will focus on emerging online copyright sectors, including short videos and online literature.

Key strategies include establishing an online mediation mechanism for copyright disputes, implementing a fast-track process for small intellectual property claims, upgrading rapid evidence collection methods, and strengthening the use of pre-litigation and in-litigation injunctions.

The committee will also establish and apply standards for infringement compensation in mediation efforts.

A local official emphasized that the committee will manage case acceptance, mediation, and provide guidance on consultation to resolve copyright disputes. This initiative is expected to enhance the intellectual property protection ecosystem and improve the area’s business environment.
