The IAA Mobility 2025, also known as the Munich Motor Show, is being held from Sept 9 to 14, showcasing products from over 100 Chinese automotive companies, including vehicle manufacturing, power batteries, intelligent driving, and automotive electronics.

Automotive companies from Chongqing Liangjiang New Area, such as Changan Automobile and Seres, are making a significant impact, highlighting Chongqing's progress in developing a smart, connected new energy vehicle hub.

Deepal Auto, a subsidiary of Changan, unveiled its S05 model on Sept 8 in Liangjiang and Munich, marking the delivery of the first vehicle to a European customer. Avatr also introduced its first concept car, Vision Xpectra, during a brand day event.

Changan is expanding in Europe, having signed agreements with dealers from 10 European countries on Sept 9. Zhao Fei, general manager of Changan Automobile, emphasized the company's commitment to offering a diverse range of products and personalized services to European customers.

Seres presented three models designed for the Middle Eastern market: AITO 9, AITO 7, and AITO 5. These vehicles feature multilingual smart cockpits and are engineered to withstand the region's environmental conditions. Seres also showcased its latest technological innovation, the Seres Super Range Extension System.

The show, one of the most influential globally, serves as a barometer for the automotive industry. Lai Han, director of the Liangjiang industry promotion bureau, noted that the event boosts the global influence of "Liangjiang-made" NEVs and accelerates their international expansion.

Changan exemplifies this strategy with a robust international presence in technology, production, and sales. The company employs 24,000 researchers across 44 R&D centers and over 200 laboratories worldwide.

Changan is also advancing localization with its first overseas new energy base in Rayong, Thailand, and is enhancing KD production capacity in the Middle East, Africa, and Eurasia. The company is planning to set up 20 overseas factories, with nine already operational, aiming for a production capacity of 500,000 vehicles.

Changan's overseas sales reached 299,000 vehicles in the first half of this year, a 5.1 percent increase year-on-year.
