Liangjiang New Area showcased its strategic advantages at the third International Public Service Procurement Conference, a key event of the 2025 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) held from Sept 10 to 14 in Beijing.
Zheng Hang, deputy director of the Liangjiang administrative committee, underscored the area's strength in terms of openness, industry, technological innovation, and business environment. He invited international procurement professionals and entrepreneurs to explore collaboration and investment opportunities in the area.
Zheng highlighted Liangjiang's pivotal role in Chongqing's bid to become a national center for advanced manufacturing, an international consumption hub, a western financial center, and a comprehensive logistics hub.
The area experienced 15.2 percent growth in imports and exports in the first half of this year. Meanwhile, 364,000 new energy vehicles were produced, an 82.9 percent year-on-year increase.
Several international procurement representatives engaged in preliminary discussions with enterprises from Liangjiang, reaching tentative cooperation agreements.
The World Trade Point Federation established its first registered representative office in China in Liangjiang in March. The area plans to strengthen collaboration with the federation, utilizing its E-trade ID platform to explore pilot projects for international trade credit system certification. The initiative aims to help enterprises integrate into the global procurement system.
Liangjiang will also enhance cooperation with regions such as South America, Africa, and the Middle East to find new foreign buyers for new energy vehicles and parts, biomedicine, medical devices, mobile phones, and robotics.
