Liangjiang New Area in Chongqing has unveiled a comprehensive three-year action plan aimed at accelerating the growth of its testing and inspection services industry.

Liangjiang has seen remarkable growth in its testing and inspection sector. By the end of 2024, the area was home to 93 accredited testing and inspection agencies and certification bodies, including 13 national quality inspection centers, which together represent 65 percent of Chongqing's total.

The ambitious plan aims to boost annual revenue from Liangjiang's testing and inspection industry chain to 40 billion yuan ($5.61 billion) by 2027.

Liangjiang will concentrate its efforts on nine key industrial sectors, including intelligent connected new energy vehicles, next-generation electronic information manufacturing, and the next-generation internet and software information industry.

The plan delineates specific strategies for strengthening and expanding the testing and inspection industry chain, alongside key tasks and development objectives tailored to each sector.

Key measures include enhancing policy incentives, establishing robust work platforms, nurturing professional talent, and fostering a supportive business environment.

Liangjiang aims to enhance technical capabilities and service efficiency within the testing and inspection sector, building a high-level, integrated, and well-coordinated industrial cluster.
