Chongqing launches Casual Gaming Industry Base

The Chongqing Casual Gaming Industry Base was launched on Oct 13 in Liangjiang New Area.

Xu Hongqiu, director of the Liangjiang administrative committee, highlighted that the new base will play a pivotal role in fostering the casual gaming industry, thereby boosting the broader digital landscape.

He emphasized plans to implement targeted policies, enhance service efficiency, and foster a more open business environment to support the base's growth. These efforts aim to accelerate the development of digital industries, including online games, web series, and audio content.

Ma Ranxi, director of the Chongqing Municipal Press and Publication Bureau, noted that the base represents a crucial step in Chongqing's cultural and creative industry landscape. He invited creative enterprises, talents, and investors from around the world to settle in Chongqing and Liangjiang, creating a fertile ground for the development of the creative and gaming industries.

Li Peng, director of Chongqing Broadcasting Group, stated that the group is committed to providing comprehensive services, such as "move-in ready facilities, policy implementation, and industry connections". These efforts aim to transform games into an innovative medium for storytelling.

Cai Guangzhong, vice-president of Tencent Group, affirmed the company's commitment to deepening its involvement in Chongqing and Liangjiang. By utilizing its strengths in technology and resource integration, Tencent aims to help build a more robust industrial service system.

A cooperative agreement has been signed, focusing on developing a digital innovation system, fostering a digital industry ecosystem, and transforming cultural data into valuable assets.
