The China-Singapore Multimodal Transport Hub in Wusu county, Xinjiang, has commenced operations with the launch of the first train on the "China-Singapore (Chongqing) Multimodal Transport Demonstration Base-Wusu-Central Asia Line".

This hub extends its logistics network across key regions such as Altay, Aksu, and Kashgar, utilizing the Alashankou and Khorgos ports to provide services to the five Central Asian countries and Russia.

By combining Chongqing's strong ports and efficient borders with Xinjiang's strategic position as a western gateway, the hub links the Silk Road Economic Belt with the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor.

It aims to facilitate the entry of regional industries and specialty products into Southeast Asian, Central Asian, and European markets, thereby enhancing regional supply chain resilience and promoting industrial development along the corridor.

The hub has already secured significant business reserves. Outbound shipments include 36,000 to 60,000 tons of poultry feed, agricultural supplies, and petrochemical products. Inbound shipments comprise 52,000 to 68,000 metric tons of agricultural products such as grain, flaxseed, and mung beans.

The China-Singapore Multimodal Transport Hub in Chongqing Liangjiang New Area combines resources from the China-Europe Railway Express, Yangtze River shipping, and Guoyuan Port, with a focus on developing warehousing services, freight forwarding, and bulk trade operations.
