Liangjiang New Area has reported impressive growth in its software and information sector, with enterprises above the designated size achieving nearly 52.8 billion yuan ($7.43 billion) in revenue from January to September, a year-on-year increase of over 21 percent.
The area has nurtured 200 "little giant" enterprises, 17 "gazelle" and unicorn companies in the software and information industry, and developed over 100 key software and information products.
Chongqing Haiwo Technology Co, a company specializing in human resource services and digital platforms for salary and benefits management, has experienced continuous operational improvements since its establishment in Liangjiang in 2023. This year, the company's revenue exceeded 10 billion yuan.
Hu Wanjun, co-founder of Haiwo Technology, attributes this success to the area's precise services, saying, "Our progress is a testament to the supportive business environment here."
The Chongqing Mini-Game Industry Base in Liangjiang has attracted nearly 20 gaming companies and almost 100 employees. Plans are in place to develop a mini-game industry cluster with a projected worth of 10 billion yuan over the next five years.
Liangjiang is also advancing smart city and manufacturing efforts, having launched 18 batches of 305 scenarios with a total investment of over 4.8 billion yuan, and is speeding up the "AI+" initiative by utilizing AI applications to support the software and information sectors.
The area aims to deepen its efforts in intelligent body development and application, data governance, gaming and animation, and industrial software development, with plans to increase policy support in key areas such as computing power vouchers, data elements, and game exports.
