Liangjiang unveils emerging industrial powerhouse

The Longxing district in Longsheng New City, part of Liangjiang New Area, has achieved a significant economic milestone, recording an industrial output exceeding 100 billion yuan ($14 billion) from January to October.

The automotive sector was a major contributor, generating an impressive 94.1 billion yuan — a 47 percent year-on-year increase — and accounting for 92 percent of the district's total industrial output.

The Seres Super Factory, a global leader in digital manufacturing, operates with over 600 smart terminals and 3,000 robots. Another key contributor, SAIC-GM-Wuling, achieved a production value of 6.2 billion yuan, a 33 percent increase from the previous year.

Longxing is also cultivating a diverse, modern industrial ecosystem and has attracted 12 significant equipment manufacturing projects, including industry titans like Sany Heavy Industry and Zoomlion.

In the electronics sector, high-quality ventures such as AAC Technologies and Aurumsense Technology have been established. The aerospace industry is also thriving, with innovative companies like OneSpace and China Express Airlines leading the way.

The Seres Super Factory began production with the most advanced battery line from CATL, a global leader in new energy solutions.

Longxing's success is largely attributed to its favorable business environment, comprehensive infrastructure, and attentive services. To cater to employees' dining and leisure needs, the district has developed areas featuring food streets, retail outlets, parking, and fitness facilities.

Longxing also plans to construct an intelligent manufacturing industrial park, featuring smart manufacturing lines, R&D centers, and supporting infrastructure.
