Chongqing and COSCO Shipping strengthen cooperation

Chongqing and China COSCO Shipping Corporation Limited signed a cooperation agreement on Jan 16 to develop a high-level inland open hub as part of the city's "15th Five-Year Plan", aimed at enhancing the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor.

A local official highlighted Chongqing's dedication to constructing a hub port industrial park and a modern logistics and service system, with the goal of integrating logistics, trade, and industry.

The official said he hopes the agreement will help COSCO Shipping to deepen practical cooperation with Chongqing, particularly in areas such as the export of Chongqing-made vehicles.

Related cooperation agreements were signed between Liangjiang New Area, COSCO Shipping Logistics & Supply Chain Management Co, Jiangjin district, and COSCO Shipping Lines Co, further cementing the partnership.
