HP established its AI Innovation Center along with the launch of its first product in Liangjiang New Area on Jan 26, a pivotal advancement in HP's AI initiative in China.
The center is dedicated to the development of commercial AI PCs, all-in-one AI machines, and AI accessories, highlighting three core strengths: local private deployment, industry-specific solutions, and open collaboration.
The center ensures secure data storage and management within local environments, offering clients an enterprise-level security foundation. It caters to the automotive, electronic information, and high-end equipment sectors, providing AI solutions such as visual inspection and acoustic fault diagnosis.
Emphasizing an open collaboration approach, the center engages with local research institutions and leading enterprises to foster an innovation "technology development + scenario implementation + industry empowerment" cycle.
The center comprises a smart factory, a marketing platform, an industry alliance, a government-enterprise co-built ecosystem, and a future exhibition hall. The smart factory includes warehouse facilities and five production lines, three of which are already operational.
It aims to produce 300,000 units annually by 2026, generating revenue of 2.5 billion yuan ($359.77 million).
The product is the HP Z Series AI acoustic detection all-in-one machine that combines acoustic technology with AI algorithms to detect product quality defects by analyzing acoustic data from machine operations, reducing response time to mere milliseconds.
It is already being utilized for product inspection across industrial manufacturing sectors, improving quality control by replacing manual fault detection of components in automotive workshops.
The center is also exploring dexterous hand technologies, targeting specific vertical industries to address efficiency and consistency issues in manual testing, such as door switches and glove box operations in automotive production.
The center soon plans to introduce the HP Zhan AI Series, which will include AI PCs (laptops and desktops) and Z Series AI industry solution machines designed for smart offices, intelligent manufacturing, and smart healthcare.
