BOE Technology Group Co has released the world's first comprehensive standard for natural light display technology.
The standard, Characterization and Test Methods for the Performance of Simulated Natural Light Display, defines four essential technical dimensions for natural light displays: spectrum optimization, polarization adjustment, light shape optimization, and temporal adaptation.
It also specifies the required technology types for each dimension and establishes 17 fundamental parameters, each with corresponding testing methods.
This standard marks a significant shift in the display industry from "seeing clearly" to "seeing comfortably and healthily".
BOE has invested in several key projects since establishing its Liangjiang New Area presence in 2012, including an 8.5-generation LCD panel production base and the sixth-generation AMOLED project.
These initiatives have fostered a development model of "two screens, three supporting facilities, one terminal, and one platform", promoting coordinated development across the entire industrial chain.
BOE is committed to advancing collaborative innovation among industry, academia, and research, with a focus on developing healthy display technologies. The company aims to refine its industrial layout and promote tiered standard construction, driving the display industry towards a healthier, more comfortable, and standardized future.
