The Chongqing New Energy Vehicle (NEV) Green and Low-Carbon Public Service Platform project, invested in and constructed by China Machinery Huanyu Certification and Inspection Co, has launched in Liangjiang New Area.
A Huanyu representative said that this project will support the green transformation of Chongqing's automotive industrial cluster, providing robust backing for the city's green and low-carbon NEV development.
The platform will focus on NEV research and design, product performance evaluation, and next-generation technology upgrades, addressing the entire NEV value chain, including material selection, component optimization, vehicle manufacturing, operation and maintenance, and end-of-life recycling.
It will establish integrated technical capabilities covering green manufacturing evaluation, carbon footprint assessment and verification, vehicle performance testing, and advanced thermal management evaluation, and will also provide comprehensive "R&D — Evaluation — Governance — Certification" services, integrating key areas such as green design, low-carbon manufacturing, component selection, and system optimization.
The platform is set to support six main functions: inspection and testing, standard setting, talent cultivation, R&D innovation, international collaboration, and results transformation, and plans to establish four core centers: the Green Manufacturing Evaluation Center, Carbon Footprint Assessment and Verification Center, Vehicle Performance Testing Center, and Advanced Thermal Management Evaluation Center. Additional facilities will include offices, customer lounges, and dining areas.
Huanyu is a comprehensive service organization specializing in third-party certification, inspection, and testing of vehicles and mechanical equipment. It currently operates seven subsidiaries and holding companies, offering services in vehicle, construction machinery, civil aviation ground equipment, and component inspection and testing, as well as product, system, and service certification.
